September, 2002 -- Netmanage
posts the latest version of Ecco to its open ftp site. Check here for the
last build 4.01.363 of the install file
-- setup32.exe -- at
ftp://ftp.netmanage.com/support/pub/utilities/EC401/Ecco32/. Use of
this file is subject to whatever restrictions Netmanage places on it, and I
have no information and can assume no liability about that

July 30, 2002 - Wow! Two new Ecco
pages in one week, five years after development was canceled! Now comes a
great new page called www.eccorocks.com.
Roger Peters has set up the most ambitious page yet, with downloads, copies
of the documentation files and Easy Ecco newsletters, and the longest list
of downloads I've seen!
-
July 28, 2002 - There's a new page
devoted to ecco at
http://www.compusol.org/ with a couple of downloads including the
update32 program.
-
May 11, 2001 - I've now posted links
to two very useful pages by John Buckman -- one an
overview of Windows
Outliners and PIMS, and another a page with a
utility for reformatting
Ecco outlines for use in email programs.
-
February 24, 2001 -- With the gracious
consent of Nick Gordon, I have posted his FAQs on the limits to the size of
Ecco files, and on the utility for monitoring that size: Watchdog.exe. The
FAQs are on the FAQs
page and Watchdog is on the
Utilities
page.

Multicast Tuneling

-
Cisco 2950 Switches -
changing the switch IP address:
-
Cisco commands for changing the ip address
and gateway of your switch as it is configed....
Get console on switch and get in enable mode.
then type....
config t
(enters configuration mode)
no ip default-gateway 128.205.10.254
(removes old gateway)
ip default-gateway 128.205.xx.254
(new gateway where x is subnet)
interface VLAN1
(puts under vlan1 config)
no ip address 128.205.10.64 255.255.255.0 (removes
old address)
ip address 128.205.xx.yy 255.255.255.0
(inserts new address where
x=subnet, y=host)
Notes, you need to remove the gatway as you can have more than one, having
more than one might work to your advantage but it is cleaner to remove it.
You might be able to type the new ip address with removing the old one as I
think you can only have one under the interface..but my way will work.
