Weekly Candlelight Vigil for Peace,
7:00-8:00 PM ,
bear witness for peace, enjoy
solidarity and good music, speak-out or read a poem in a family-friendly
setting. Say yes to peace -- and no
to war, violence and military occupation everywhere. Delaware Park - Aggasiz Circle Entrance,
Parkside Ave & Route 198, Buffalo, NY, Enter Delaware Park at the Aggasiz
Circle entrance, on Parkside Ave just north of Route 198. You can only enter
when headed SOUTH on Parkside. Therefore if coming on 198, take the Parkside
exit, go north a couple of blocks, and find a way to turn around. The
entrance is marked by a park sign, and also by a street sign for E. Meadow
Dr. We will meet in the parking area about 100 yards from the park entrance.
The vigil will be visible to traffic on Parkside and the 198. Join
this marvelous and diverse group if you can.

Women
in Black weekly vigil, every week on Saturday from
12-1 PM, Bidwell/Elmwood, no matter the
weather, there's always good cheer and dignified solidarity. Women in
Black Buffalo has a great new Web site -- make a point of visiting and
book-marking it at: http://wibbuffalo.net/ The war in Iraq and
Afghanistan are reported to be over, and the dopes in the White House are
declaring victory, but we know better... We continue to have upwards of 30
vigilers every Saturday from noon to 1P. This reflects that people are well
aware of the risks that remain as long as this administration is in office.
Please continue to stand with us in this environment when other citizens
report dissent to the police. That's the battle we must continue to wage! See
