From: "Joel Rose" To: Subject: CACGEC: URGENT--Chktwg Twn Bd mtg NOT in Town Hall Date: Sunday, September 14, 2003 4:23 PM Dear members and friends, I have just been informed that the Cheektowaga Town Board meeting on Monday, September 15, will NOT be held in Cheektowaga Town Hall. Instead, it will be in the Sloan Fire Hall. It will begin at 6:45, as we had previously been told. Parking may be difficult, so if you wish to attend and you're not going to the special CACGEC Steering Committee meeting, you may want to plan to arrive as early as 6:15. The Sloan Fire hall, I gather, is not the easiest place to find, so I have placed a map on our web site, at http://NoCasinoErie.org/images/SloanFireHall.gif Note: we have not yet placed a link to this map from our home page, so either use the link above (type the url into your browser if it's not clickable in the mail message), or just use http://mapquest.com and enter 50 Gates Street, Cheektowaga, NY, to generate your own map (that's where the map came from). The Fire Hall is at 50 Gates Street in the Village of Sloan. It is at the corner of Gates and Curtiss Streets, two blocks south of Broadway. Curtiss is about nine blocks (three or four tenths of a mile) west of Harlem Road. Count the blocks on the south side of Broadway. On the north side is a huge array of railroad tracks. If you're coming from Broadway and Harlem (that's an overpass -- Broadway runs beneath Harlem), you'll see a Mobil station on your left, followed by the Silver Fox Inn. Curtiss is then the second street on the left after the Inn, I think. The Fire Hall should be at the end of the street, where it tees into Gates. Sorry for the last-minute notice.
