Where: Lafayette Square, Downtown Buffalo When: Tuesday, April 22nd from 9am-10pm Schedule: 9am-11am Set-up camp 4pm-5pm Demonstration 11am-12pm Speakers 6pm-7pm Discussion 12pm-1pm Demonstration 8pm –10pm Music 1pm-3pm Workshops Friends of the Allegheny in conjunction with the National Day of Action to Protect America’s National Forests will bring attention to logging on the Allegheny National Forest. Highland Forest Resources, a subsidiary of National Fuel, is operating in the Allegheny National Forest and has logged hundreds of acres of the East Side Project (the largest logging project east of the Mississippi) and a number of other timber sales. These are OUR public lands, not welfare for timber or oil/gas companies. In the Allegheny National Forest 20,000 acres are logged annually, is crisscrossed by 3,000 miles of roads, has more oil/gas wells then all other National Forests combined and for those reasons and more We call for a day of action to protect the Allegheny National Forest and protest the abusive practices of National Fuel and demand they stop logging and drilling our public lands For more information contact Jason at jasonbrady300@hotmail.com or call 884-8179 -- _______________________________________________ http://www.Buffalo.com , WNY's #1 Website === IMC-BUFFALO is a mailing list for announcements of events and actions of interest to people in the Western New York area.
